Andy has a lifetime of interest in electronics, which started by taking many things apart as a child!
He is a full member of the Institute of Sound and Communications Engineers (MInstSCE), and is an Associate member of the Institute of Acoustics (IOA). He holds further qualifications in Acoustics and building acoustic measurement from the IOA. Andy has been involved in operating church sound equipment for over 40 years, and started APi Sound & Visual in 2003 after 14 years in the AV industry.
He is married to Bryoni, has three children and is involved in leading worship in his local church where he gets to experience being on the other end of the sound system. At other times he can be found on the water or thinking about it.
Bryoni has a real handle on the business and its development.
She has general oversight of finances of the company and with a background in database software is often creating or producing spreadsheets for the business.
Bryoni is the wife of the MD and mum to three children. When she gets the time, she enjoys sewing, playing the violin and piano; as well as spending relaxing times on the water with Andy.
Steve is City & Guilds qualified in electronic diagnosis and was a senior technician with Granada TV Rental before spending six years running his own business within the electronics servicing industry.

Steve demonstrates extensive knowledge of customer service, fault diagnosis and equipment installation at APi as well as being on the senior management team. He is a family man with three children and several grandchildren and enjoys walking and cycling during his leisure time.

Andrew has a reputation for never failing to come up with a solution to any technical problem!
Andrew started young, as at 14, he was running charity discos for his school. Upon leaving he qualified with a BTEC in Electronics and joined a small specialist firm designing and building bespoke electronics. Subsequently he worked for a fire alarm company, building, testing and commissioning fire alarm panels and systems, rising to become their I.T. Manager.
He joined APi Sound & Visual in 2009 where he demonstrates his vast knowledge of both computer hardware and software. He is a devoted father to his two sons and occupies his spare time practising music within worship and studying software problems.

Jim’s interest in all things technical began when he studied electronics at high school in California.
He worked for BT (then Post Office Telecommunications) as a Technical Officer on large business systems for 20 years. Then joining Stage Electrics as Service/Technical Manager until running his own AV commissioning and programming business.
Having worked alongside APi on a number of projects over the years he is very happy to now be a full time member of the team.<br
Jim is a family man and met his wife whilst both performing in amateur musical theatre but now enjoys watching others do the performing.
Sound & Visual Technician
Stephen’s passion for everything to do with sound began when he was young – whether that be behind a drum kit, piano or sound desk.
Prior to joining APi, Stephen was running a small installation company which had been set up by his Dad, specialising in church sound and hearing loop systems. This helped him understand everything that is involved in installations, from site visits to final fix.
In Stephen’s spare time he likes to play tennis or practice drums to relax. Since relocating from Stratford-Upon-Avon, he is loving the different opportunities living in Exeter presents.
Ryan has a vast amount of experience as a live sound engineer and theatre technician. He is excited to be Joining APi Sound & Visual as a trainee technician, where he hopes to be able to use and adapt his existing knowledge in the installation sector.
Ryan discovered his love of theatre sound at a young age when mixing sound for his school productions. Studying at Plymouth University in 2013, Ryan has a FdA in Live Sound along with a BA (Hons) in Music Production (Live).
Prior to joining APi Sound & Visual, Ryan was working for Royal Caribbean as a sound technician, mixing Broadway licensed shows such as Grease and Hairspray. He has also been involved with working backstage on the pyramid stage at Glastonbury, working alongside Lionel Richie, Earth Wind & Fire and Muse.
Outside of APi, Ryan enjoys playing piano and has a keen interest in aerial video and photography.
With an eye for detail and a great deal of accounts experience Robin is the ideal person to oversee the day to day finances.
She also provides great customer service and it is often Robin who you will speak to when you call us.
Her fantastic organisational skills mean she can always find the information that any member of the team seeks.
During her career, Robin has also been a childminder and worked in a preschool (some would say useful skills for working with the APi team!)
Outside of APi Robin can be found watching rugby or working on her allotment.
