Upon leaving he qualified for a BTEC in Electronics and joined a small specialist firm designing and building bespoke electronics. Subsequently he worked for a fire alarm company, building, testing and commissioning fire alarm panels and systems, rising to become their I.T. Manager before joining APi Sound & Visual during 2009 where he ably demonstrates his vast knowledge of both computer hardware and software. He has a reputation for never failing to come up with a solution to any technical problem! He is a devoted father to his two sons. He occupies his spare time practising music within worship and studying software problems.
Matt is all about sound and vision. He spent his teenage years dreaming of a job in broadcast and television, becoming a member of the National Youth Theatre and gaining work experience with the BBC, ITV, ITN and Channel 4.
Having worked for ITV he left the bright lights of TV production to join the electrical charge of running his own business. Gaining qualifications he has a wide knowledge of both location and studio production as well as practical electrical understanding. He combines this with excellent client liaison.
Within APi Matt combines his engineering installation role with sales visits and pre installation surveys.
Matt attends a small church in his town on the edge of Dartmoor with his wife and three children. He enjoys walking and cycling with the family dog Wilson.
Robin worked for TNT for 12 years in all areas of accounts and customer service. She left TNT after having her second child and became a childminder for 3 years, followed by working in a preschool, as this fitted around her girls. Her passion is accounts (and watching rugby), and as her girls are now older, she has returned to this at APi for which we are very grateful.
Alison graduated in Tourism with Business Studies and started her career in tourism marketing working for the West Country Tourist Board and Exeter City Council. She began working for APi Sound & Visual in 2008 and enjoys combining her work with being Mum to her 2 children. Recently she has taken on a greater responsibility in overseeing the sales process and being part of our senior management team. In her spare time she enjoys gardening and sewing, as well as running a local Girlguiding Unit.
