Additional Services Price Guide

We offer a variety of additional services and it is important that we are as transparent as possible with you, so that you have a good idea of the cost implications of a project with us before you speak to us and get more information.

As with our other pricing pages, we cannot give accurate information because of the bespoke nature of each project, but this page will give you as much detail on pricing for the additional services we offer as possible without getting more details from you to create a formal quotation. It also gives some guidance on the main factors which will impact the cost of these services, so that you can roughly calculate the overall cost of a solution.

Guideline pricing:

There are two main factors which will affect the price of an acoustic dampening solution, but the main one is simple; the size of the space. The larger the space, the more acoustic panels we will need to fit to have the same impact as fewer panels in a smaller room. When quoting an acoustic dampening project, we work out the total room volume and then do calculations based on the test measurements we have taken to determine how much area of the room needs to have acoustic dampening applied.

Linked to the size of the space, the shape and size of the acoustic panels themselves will have an impact on the cost of the project. Larger panels, or even non-standard smaller panel sizes incur a higher manufacturing cost, which will result in the quote we send you being higher than if you used a standard size that could be manufactured as part of a larger batch.

The second main factor to increase the cost of an acoustic dampening project is the severity of the reverberation in the room. It sounds obvious, but the more reverberant a space is, the more acoustic treatment will be required and therefore the cost will be higher due to the increased number of panels.

An average project in a medium-sized hall with lively acoustics is going to cost between £4,000 and £6,000 inc VAT. For larger projects where more panels are required or the installation will take longer because of multiple smaller panels being fitted, the cost can increase to around £8,000 inc VAT. Really reverberant, large spaces can cost up to £14,000 inc VAT.

In today’s age of network-driven devices, often the existing network infrastructure is good enough to connect in a new CCTV using IP-based cameras, which feed back to a video recorder. This means that the cost of cabling is often limited to running cables to the new camera positions, without the need to do any internal networking.

A CCTV system with four cameras, a video recorder and the associated installation and setup is likely to cost around £3000 inc VAT. Adding more cameras to make an 8-camera system will increase the price to between £6000 and £7500 inc VAT, due to the cameras themselves but also the additional time spent cabling these into the network.

There are now many options when it comes to fitting an assistive listening solution in a church, commercial, education or other type of building. Each has positives and negatives, with the equipment changing as the technology in hearing aid devices becomes increasingly advanced.

With many of the assistive listening solutions, a bodypack receiver is required for the person who wishes to access the system. These devices come in different shapes and sizes depending on the particular product, but the number of these you would like to use at any one time is one of the biggest influences on the total cost of a project using this technology.

For infra-red systems, which have been the most popular of the assistive listening solutions, each bodypack is roughly £300-£400 inc VAT, on top of around £700 for the transmitter. So, if you have a space where one transmitter is sufficient and you would like 10 bodypacks, you will be looking at £5,000 for the equipment. Often, these systems are quick to install and can be done by a single engineer, so the cost of labour is not high.
