Commercial AV Systems Price Guide

We’re not going to try and give an accurate price guide for commercial installations, because this is very difficult and we do not want to give you misleading information.
However, we can give some indicators of the price of certain equipment commonly used for commercial audio-visual installations, which we hope can help in building a picture of the overall cost of a project with us.
As with all purchases, there are some important questions to think about before you get too far down the journey with us, as knowing the answers to these at the point of enquiring with us will be extremely helpful in making sure that we design a system which is tailored to your business requirements but also your budget.
What do you want to achieve from the installation of new audio-visual equipment into your meeting room/conference space/presentation area?
- Is the main purpose of having this equipment so that you can rent out unused office space and gain an additional income stream?
- Is it because you regularly hold crucial meetings and must ensure that the audio and video quality for those both in the room and joining remotely is as good as possible?
Would the money be better spent on an acoustic treatment?
If you are having trouble with the audio quality from a sound system already installed in the meeting space or those listening via a video link are complaining that they cannot hear clearly, rather than upgrade the conferencing equipment, would the money be better spent on acoustic treatment? Often, meeting rooms are filled with hard surfaces, which have a significant impact on audio quality due to the reverberation in the room. In these cases, acoustic dampening is the best solution.
How do you want to interact with the system?
Do you have an IT manager who will be responsible for setting up the equipment before each use, or does the system need to be a ‘set-and-forget’ system so that users can come in, turn on the display, connect their device and present straight away? This is really important to know, as although we always design our systems to be as simple as possible to operate, there are additional items we can add (such as wall-panel or tablet-based controllers) which can make it easy to use without any prior knowledge of the setup.
Rough pricing by product category (Excluding VAT):
Large Format Displays
32” commercial displays start at about £450 and you will be paying up to £4500 for a 98-inch display.
Meeting room projectors and projection screens
Depending on the throw, a short-throw projector will cost from £1,500 to £6500 for a large projector which requires a specialist lens. All projectors we fit are full HD quality, but if you require 4K resolution then this will push the price up towards the higher end of the price bracket.
Projection screens are not as expensive, starting at around £400 and going up to £1500 for a large screen or a screen with a more specialist operation (e.g. winch mechanism). We recommend that you install a screen rather than projecting onto a wall, as you lose a lot of the brightness and image quality when shining onto a non-projection surface.
